Support for the Accreditation of Direct Access Entities and Private Sector Mobilization under the GCF Readiness Program – Burkina Faso
As part of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness program in Burkina Faso, this mission aimed to support two national entities—the Environmental Intervention Fund (FIE) and Coris Bank—in their accreditation process as Direct Access Entities (DAEs) and to assist in mobilizing the private sector.
The main interventions included:
Technical assistance for FIE’s accreditation regarding the fiduciary function of grant management
Support for Coris Bank’s accreditation for the fiduciary function of lending or a mixed fiduciary setup, including the development of a tailored action plan
Supporting the DAEs in preparing and submitting their accreditation applications, including responding to comments from the GCF Secretariat and the GCF Review Committee
